»Tudi jaz vam pravim: Prosíte in vam bo dano! Iščite in boste našli! Trkajte in se vam bo odprlo!« (Lk 11,9)

Povabljena sva, da prosiva z otroškim zaupanjem. On nama daje to, kar je potrebno, ne to kar midva hočeva. Potrebujeva pa Svetega Duha, da se uresniči to kar On ve in hoče. To kar Bog hoče je najboljše zame in za vse. Oče nasičuje našo najglobljo potrebo: biti njegovi ljubljeni sinovi in hčere. Ne usliši nas zato, da bi iskali Njega, ki je vir vsega dobrega in ne samo to kar hočemo imeti in se nam zdi, da nam mora dati.

"Yo también os digo: ¡Pedid y se os dará! ¡Buscad y encontraréis! Llamad y se os abrirá". (Lucas 11:9)

Se nos invita a pedir con la confianza de un niño. Él nos da lo que necesitamos, no lo que queremos. Pero necesitamos al Espíritu Santo para que haga realidad lo que Él sabe y quiere. Lo que Dios quiere es lo mejor para mí y para todos. El Padre satisface nuestra necesidad más profunda: ser sus hijos e hijas amados. No escucha para que busquemos a Aquel que es la fuente de todo bien, no sólo lo que queremos tener y sentimos que Él debe darnos.

"I also say to you, Ask and it will be given to you! Seek and ye shall find! Knock and it will be opened to you!" (Luke 11:9)

We are invited to ask with childlike trust. He gives us what we need, not what we want. But we need the Holy Spirit to bring about what He knows and wants. What God wants is the best for me and for all. The Father satisfies our deepest need: to be His beloved sons and daughters. He does not hear us so that we will seek Him who is the source of all good, not just what we want to have and feel He must give us.
