»Kdor bo skušal rešiti svoje življenje, ga bo izgubil; kdor pa ga bo izgubil, ga bo rešil.« (Lk 17,33)

Če hočem v sebičnosti svoje življenje rešiti (običajno na račun drugih), ga bom izgubil. Postajam posameznik ujet v lažni beg pred smrtjo (čast, oblast in denar). Če iz ljubezni, ki jo prejemam od Boga v lastnem srcu, svoje življenje izgubljam za druge, ga bom rešil. Postajam oseba, ki živi v Kristusu in iz Očetove ljubezni. Očetovo ljubezen lahko živim le v konkretnih dejanjih do vas, ki ste z menoj na poti kot bratje in sestre.

"Whoever tries to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will save it." (Luke 17:33)

If in selfishness I try to save my life (usually at the expense of others), I will lose it. I become an individual trapped in a false flight from death (honour, power and money). If, out of the love I receive from God in my own heart, I lose my life for others, I will save it. I become a person who lives in Christ and out of the love of the Father. I can only live the love of the Father in concrete actions towards you who are with me on the way as brothers and sisters.

"Quien intente salvar su vida la perderá, y quien pierda su vida la salvará". (Lucas 17:33)

Si por egoísmo intento salvar mi vida (normalmente a costa de los demás), la perderé. Me convierto en un individuo atrapado en una falsa huida de la muerte (honor, poder y dinero). Si, por el amor que recibo de Dios en mi propio corazón, pierdo mi vida por los demás, la salvaré. Me convierto en una persona que vive en Cristo y por amor al Padre. Sólo puedo vivir el amor del Padre en acciones concretas hacia vosotros, que estáis conmigo en el camino como hermanos y hermanas.
