»In je rekel: 'Resnično, povem vam: Ta uboga vdova je vrgla več kot vsi.'« (Lk 21,3)

Jezus izreče svojo Božjo oblast in oznani vrednost vdovinega novčiča. Vdova je dala v dar vse svoje življenje. Podarila je svoje bistvo. Ona je hči vstajenja, ker ne živi za posedovanje, ampak podarja. Blagor ji, ker je kakor Jezus Kristus. Pooseblja ljubezen, ki premaga sebičnost. Pokaže kako iz posameznikov, sinov smrti, postajamo osebe, sinovi Očeta. Vabi me, da tudi jaz darujem vse za Jezusa Kristusa mojega Odrešenika in našega Odrešenika.

"Y dijo: En verdad os digo que esta pobre viuda ha echado más que todos" (Lucas 21, 3).

Jesús declara su autoridad divina y proclama el valor del ácaro de la viuda. La viuda ha dado toda su vida como don. Ha dado su propia esencia. Es hija de la resurrección porque no vive para poseer, sino para dar. Dichosa ella porque es como Jesucristo. Ella encarna el amor que vence el egoísmo. Ella muestra cómo de individuos, hijos de la muerte, pasamos a ser personas, hijos del Padre. Ella me invita a darlo todo por Jesucristo, mi Salvador y nuestro Salvador.

"And he said, 'Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has cast in more than all'" (Luke 21:3).

Jesus declares His divine authority and proclaims the value of the widow's mite. The widow has given her whole life as a gift. She has given her very essence. She is a daughter of the resurrection because she does not live to possess, but to give. Blessed is she because she is like Jesus Christ. She embodies the love that overcomes selfishness. She shows how from individuals, sons of death, we become persons, sons of the Father. She invites me to give my all for Jesus Christ my Saviour and our Saviour.
